Dear family, friends and partners,

Last year we began a great partnership with Pastor Robert at the Yuna Church ministry! As we witnessed the amazing results of one person being released to live out his calling, our heart’s desire increased even more to see indigenous leaders go out and fulfill their Godly calling.

This year we have seen great strides toward our ongoing effort to extend our influence in Gambia. We are filled with joy and enthusiasm to see how God has brought pastors and leaders into our lives who are ready to go out and minister God’s love all over Gambia.

pastor-francisWe are excited to have the privilege of supporting another pastor beginning in August of 2015. Pastor Francis will be ministering in a different part of the country; he has had a heart for the village of Darsalame for a long time and we are so excited to be able to partner with him in reaching the lost in that village. Pastor Francis (second from right) is engaged to be married at the end of November and he and his new wife are moving to Darsalme to begin their life and ministry together. Their vision is to reach the youth through sports camps, Bible studies and after school programs. His future wife is a teacher, so they have a wonderful opportunity.

In order to broaden our ministry influence even more and empower the pastors that are going out, we purchased a new property in the village of Faala. The vision for this new location is to build an outreach center to be used in many ways. This center would be a place for youth ministry, Bible study and prayer, children’s programs and more. Our vision is to use the facility in the future for summer camps and VBS and to bring the children from the school for programs during the summer. The village of Faala is located about 18-20 miles away from our current school. The region around Faala is occupied primarily by people that are originally from Guinea Bissau and who claim to be Catholic; in reality, they practice traditional African religion and spiritism (spirit and ancestor worship). There is a great need for the Word of God to be proclaimed in this region and we are so grateful that God has already called a young pastor to this village. We want to build this place so that he can move into the village and be able to live among the people he loves so much.

We are planning to have a construction team from our home church come to Gambia in March 2016 to assist with the construction of the facility in Faala.

We want to present you with the opportunity to be a part of this project in whatever way God is enabling you.

Please pray for:

  • Pastor Francis and his future wife as they prepare for the wedding and their new ministry
  • Pastor Robert, Anna and little Timothy for God’s hand to be on their marriage and ministry
  • New school year that starts on September 28th 2015
  • New Godly teachers that will be joining the school

students

We continue to minister to the children and families in Lamin and look forward to seeing how God will use the seed that has been planted and is growing at the school. We hired seven new teachers for the Upper Basic grades (similar to our Junior High) and enrolled thirty new students, 3-4 year olds, in Nursery One, that will join the school and ministry ground for the new school year. We need your prayers for God to give us wisdom and grace to minister to them. Most likely this will be the first time they will have the opportunity to witness a Christian life and to see what Christianity is really about, experiencing how we live out our commitment to the Lord. We pray that as we share our vision for the school and the community with the new staff that the teachers will be able to discern that it is a Godly vision that cannot be fulfilled in our human power, and that they would see the Power of God at work on the campus. Pray for love and unity among the staff and the teachers to develop a spirit of collaboration rather than competition.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your faithful prayers, giving and partnership. We cannot do what we do without your support and prayers, without your encouragement and friendships!

May He reward you above and beyond your expectations, according to His will.

In His service,

Sol and Manuela Bah
